RECOMMENDED METHOD FOR APPLYING KERR TRIPLE DYE
UMBILICAL AREA ANTISEPTIC WITH KERR DISPOS-A-SWAB SINGLE USE APPLICATOR

Apply after birth and repeat application daily until discharged.

Multiple applications are necessary to eliminate colonization of Group B Hemolytic Strep and other resistant organisms.

Crush ampule 1/2 inch from bottom while still in Saf-T-Pac envelope and squeeze until applicator tip is wet.

Push applicator through paper seal of Saf-T-Pac envelope.

Discard Saf-T-Pac.

Apply antiseptic thoroughly to umbilicus and to the area an inch diameter around it.
